Typically
what we see is the countries that are richer enjoy rich food, such as
animal products and processed food which lead to many diseases such as
obesity, heart disease, diabetes, cancer, etc. These countries can
afford whatever they want and enjoy indulging in high fat, low carb
foods.
On the other hand, in countries where people's income is
much lower, people can only afford plant foods and not so much of animal
foods. As an outcome, these people are slim and healthy because they
are eating healthy foods such as fruits, vegetables, legumes, and whole
grains. Not only are they slim but their rates of disease are much lower
when compared to the richer, western countries.
